For those in doubt, I speak to you most true,
these words expressed are always meant for you.
In speaking what arises only from the heart,
they come from there to meet where they did start.

And so a circle most perfectly is formed,
as in delight, by inner sense confirmed.
All motion moving round that constant curve,
to meet again complete, and all are served.

Revolving throughout all creations' lands,
in which existence only, takes its stand.
With no magnitude or shape to here conform,
some say is not conceived and never born.

All comes from One, and not elsewhere is found
that point One is, as also You un-bound.

This world a majesty of most wondrous sights,
disjointed in my eyes, as thoughts of night.
Where beauty found; then there I try to grasp,
alas in all, with time, it does not last.

As eyes would tell one story; fading light,
like a caterpillar, prepare to take to flight.
Withdrawing sight from this now earth bound view,
upon these new-born wings I fly with You.

Then display'd the beauty hidden in all things,
and not these golden trappings, fit for kings!
Thy shinning love revealed and seen within,
un-found by outer eyes; new life begins.

On giving up all claims to what is Thine,
Your eternal beauty found, beyond all time.

Where lies discord in that symphony of light,
by which is announced the rising of the sun?
In which the birds rise up and take their flight,
and out-shone stars declare from where they come.

Sweet murmurings I hear of wind-swept leaves,
shimmering on this gentle morning breeze.
The line of ants march on in step to seize,
that sweetness with which their queen they feed.

All movement now as on one string is strung,
a graceful river in which all dance Your song.
Making known that from which all movement comes,
imbued with Your love for which all lovers long.

Know that great composer of this unspoken song
and dance with Him in joy this whole life long.

Might words, which with Thy grace, may please,
contain a mighty cure for all dis-ease?
A balm for bloodied wounds be found,
where blood and soul by thought are bound?

Can they pierce like sharp edged swords,
the hearts of all; these simple words?
Reaching past those sentinels of mind,
severing the knots that hold and bind?

The gates of mind thrown open wide,
in stillness, not by thoughts confined.
Hearing what here is said by You,
heart surrenders all that is not True.

This mind once blind to universal view,
in silence now, it only dwells in You.

Gentle Rain

If I could make all dreams come true,
for each and every one of you.
If I could make your troubles fade,
like morning mist on a summers' day.
If I could banish all these fears,
and make your life bereft of tears.
If I could give you back what's yours,
that Oneness which your heart adores.
I would forever be content,
this fleeting life has been well spent.

If I could awake you from these dreams,
so that you can see what may be seen.
Such that your scope is wide and far,
with happiness beyond the stars.
If I could make all men know what's true,
and end the wars that fight in you.
If I could bring deep abiding peace,
to every living man and beast.
I surely would, I surely would,
if I only could.

I can tell you what may be known;
the purest white of virgin snow,
the universe at rest in mind,
the kindness dwelling in all mankind,
the glory of the dawn,
that gentle light of morn',
the little child; look in his eyes,
why would he ever need to cry.
Why should that blissful smile,
only last a passing while?

We see, and hear, and taste, and feel,
these earthly joys, the fear of hell.
And now immersed in all of this,
shall we forget Your deep abiding bliss?
When will we hear that voice inside,
knowing all, and in all abides.
He speaks so quiet, like gentle rain,
when will we hear His voice again?

All that has come and in time surely goes,
now lost to the memory of ages past.
On dessert sands and frozen arctic snow,
that purest light thereon a shadow cast?

These beguiling forms which I claim to know,
turn fleeting days into a murky night.
In holding to what they purport to show,
deceive this mind and bind to mortal sight.

With inner eyes forsaking all outward sense,
in all these shadows, cast my just contempt;
found only You, both now and ever hence,
all in all at rest and in that, my content.

Remembrance of all passing shadows spent,
now my eyes see only You, who never went.

A constant companion most fair are You,
in Your constancy no fault was ever found.
I could bemoan our conversations are too few,
but then You surely have the more just ground!

What man, if rightly he should complain,
would make a case for more familiar talk?
When You from any criticism always refrain,
and hold my hand throughout this life long walk.

Too few times I remember in each thought,
it is Your silent smile that lingers there;
and is the only cause of all I sought,
makes all unwelcome trials no less than fair.

Your constancy without doubt is ever found,
but in my dreams I steal from You, Your crown.

Supreme Oneness

Before the beginning
not non existence, not existence either
not mind, not no mind either
with no mind, no place for desire
with no place for desire
no act of creation, with no act of creation
no divine beings, with no divine beings
no elements, with no elements
no creatures.
You are immutable, without change
not any of these, not any can be
or not be, without You
before this One, beyond a darkness
enveloped in a darkness
greater than absence of light
You are there, where there is no where
not knowing, not not knowing
with no mind, and not no mind
to remember.

Dear David,
A conundrum worthy of the great Parmenides himself!

Dear Peter

Is it so that sound is more profound than any word,
just as all movement may be found to be one dance?
Where notes combine with harmony as in a chord,
conjoin with words and reach into the hearts of all.

Then it is no mystery to find Parmenides'
ancient words of knowledge, in poetry are enshrined.
As too the Vedic hymn of creation thus describes,
that primeval state which cannot be expressed.

And could one unspoken sound create all these worlds,
before its utterance, what before was there, which did exist,
and caused this mind to become, with thoughts unfurled,
enveloped in darkness; by what are all these beings kissed?

A conundrum perchance to be unwound,
but not by mind or thought will He be found.

I know not whether to stand
in the feeling of Your presence
or humbly bow and sit at Your feet.
My mind would grasp your shadow
and my heart would open so wide
that Your universe is lost inside.
And then perhaps we might meet
with the Joy of finding You again
so great that I would lose myself
in Your far shining light of light.

What is Your name by which You may be called
when You in disguise inhabit all around?
Many seek to find, as if You were unformed,
when in all places it's only You that's found!

You call to me through all your shapes and forms
and silently You shine in all I find.
You use my name, assigned when I was born,
I hear Your call although my sight is blind.

Each day that passes emerging from the night
from dream like sleep, awaking to the dawn;
all call to You, and no-one else is nigh,
all reply, by only You they are here spawned.

My name is Yours and Yours also be mine,
and this be True until the end of time.
