I am very pleased to post Dr Peter Bowman's excellent paper entitled 'Justice in Economics' on the Forum. I have copied his abstract below:

'An overview of the place of justice in economics is presented. Justice is recognized as a virtue and three aspects of virtue – aręte, phronesis and eudaimonia are briefly described. Justice is defined as “rendering each his due”. What is due to each is taken from the UN declaration of human rights. In our present economy the rendering institution is the free market. It is proposed that the main injustices in our present free market economy have arisen from the inappropriate commoditization and inclusion in the market mechanism of the three primary elements of land, labour and money/credit and that these injustices could be corrected by their removal. The mechanisms proposed are a combination of fiscal reform, with a shift to a site-based collection of government revenue, monetary reform, with a shift from bank-issued debt-based money back to government issued money and a change in the status of wages of labour from a cost of production to a reward for production.'

Your comments and observations are most welcome.
