Hello Mark. Thank you for providing us with an intriguing voice (and a distinct look) through your poetry; I recognise the craft involved.

Michael Shepherd, who initiated this Forum, wrote of it that “It’s so good to ‘hear’ each voice here; it seems to magnify the value of poetry and of praise.”

On “this most incurious of Forums” (to quote Peter Blumsom), can I use my curiosity to ask what I hope are thought-provoking questions: What do you value; what do you praise, and what do you question? I am rather hoping that the prose writer (rather than the poet) may provide the reply!

Hello Alan.

Thank you so much for your curiosity and thought provoking questions.

This prose writer appears to have writers block! I shall attempt to reply sincerely without the self-imposed pressure of a seeming lack of any real practical value.

It could be that the negative force upon me is overwhelming, yet in faith it has no power to overwhelm. As I write, the value of this is of absolute significance. The eyes are wide. The water of I weeps and the conception of innocence is still innocent.

I praise the illumination behind the screenplay word dance. Goggle eyed by google while swimming in the same stock of knowledge, without the pitiful stocks imprisonment of a clamped I.

Does this mark the end of attempted poetry and the beginning of bad prose? Maybe I'm still blocked, I ask myself, how to be free?

Sincerely

Mark

Hello Mark

Thank you for sharing the inspiration of your words, openness and sincerity.

“As I write, the value of this is of absolute significance”.

“I praise the illumination behind the screenplay word dance”.

Question: “How to be free?”

Goggle-eyed by Google while

swimming

in the same Stock
of knowledge, without
the pitiful Stocks imprisonment of a clamped

I

I have a postcard from the National Portrait Gallery depicting a Samuel Beckett figure - who possibly also represents the expectation of the world - directing an actor in a scene from Waiting for Godot. The caption says “No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”

I feel we are all attempting to be unclamped (you are in good company);
and that when we feel most clamped, we are always being invited in faith to the practice of unclamping.

SENT HENCE I AM

Confidently using a lack of confidence to write a proper sentence knot

Undo

Heartily allowing the rub of my skin to shed word by it's nervous tongue

Playfully breathing a space craft in time lapse foregone

Reflection upon reflection and seeing that it is

Crash......................!

Blinded by the light

Resonating light code

To make a lite coat and fly again

No digger can rouse my soil like corpse and make dagger to sky

Godam he can

Like gold dust

Rare mare

And frank in sense

Go dot

And make word thy flesh

DOT

Not this

N.O.T.I.C.E.
