Here is an interesting paper 'Patience and Finance' by Andrew Haldane. Thanks to Kevin Main for spotting it.

Haldane is the Executive Director, Financial Stability at the Bank of England. He has written or presented several interesting things on finance in the context of the present crisis, and often has a refreshing take on the subject. This paper is no exception, suggesting that patience in finance is a virtue well worth cultivating.

Some may be aware that in Vedic culture, patience (or constancy) was the first of 10 virtues or laws (sanatana dharma) for mankind.

Your views on Haldane's research and observation would be most welcome.
